ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Julian Zamora (they/them) is a multimedia artist born and raised in San José, CA. They have worked in art and science education for over 8 years across the Bay Area. As a dedicated community artist, Julian’s goal is to create art experiences that impact the community and give them a safe space to express themselves. Focusing on existing media to create new and interesting ideas, Julian believes that art belongs to everyone.

Lydia Watson (she/her) is a multimedia artist and student from San José with degrees in Studio Arts and Art History from Foothill College. Through years of volunteer experience beside individuals with developmental disabilities at the non-profit Angels on Stage, she realized the importance of cultivating a space for creative expression that is accessible and empowering to all. She teaches with the goal of encouraging youth to investigate their imagination and find power in their authentic contributions to the world. When she is not teaching, learning, or making art, she loves producing music, songwriting, being outside in nature, shopping for second-hand and vintage clothing, and enjoying musical theatre productions in the Bay Area.
