Self-Guided Tours
SJMA is pleased to offer free individual admission for students and teachers with valid ID. Any group of 10 or more is considered a group tour. Private youth, adult, and college group tours require an additional fee and must be booked in advance. Drop-in groups may be asked to visit at another time due to Museum security and capacity policies.
Self-guided 5th–12th grade School tours are offered to school groups wishing to visit the museum outside our standard fieldtrip hours and are available during our open hours Thursday and Friday from 4–9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am–4pm. Self-guided 5th–12th School tours last one hour and are limited to 35 students and require 10:1 Student: chaperone ratio. Students must be in the 5th grade or higher. We also ask that classes visiting the museum come prepared with an assignment.
Program fee: $90 for 35 participants, including students and chaperones. The cost for groups with fewer than 15 participants is $70 (fees are based on the total number of participants including chaperones).
For questions, please contact our group tour and family programs manager at education@sjmusart.org.
All tour reservations, including self-guided groups, must register at least four weeks prior to their visit. If your group arrives at SJMA without a reservation, the Museum is unable to guarantee your group access to the Museum.
