The San José Museum of Art is able to provide Art Camp Scholarships through the generous donations of its supporters.
Art Camp Scholarship Information
The San José Museum of Art (SJMA) believes that all children should have access to Kids Summer Art Camp, regardless of their family's financial situation. Each summer, SJMA awards a limited number of full-need-based scholarships to eligible campers. Applications open with general registration.
What the Scholarship Covers
- Tuition for one camp session
- All necessary art supplies
- A camp t-shirt
Selection & Requirements
- Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited in quantity.
- Students attending Title I schools receive priority consideration.
- Recipients must arrange their own daily transportation to and from SJMA.
Eligibility
- Open to San José residents with demonstrated financial need.
- Available for children ages 6 to 14 at the time of camp.
Notifications
Scholarship decisions are made on a rolling basis, with final notification to all recipients by May 6, 2026. After this date, applicants will be invited to join a waitlist.
Direction for Applying
- Online applications only. No physical application will be accepted.
- Please fill out a separate application for each child.
