Sowing Creativity
Sowing Creativity is an integrated visual art residency program developed by the San José Museum of Art to align with the California Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards and to meet the urgent need to promote creativity across disciplines. Conducted by professional Studio Arts Educators, this program delivers a series of stimulating art-making experiences in the classroom, where professional artists lead students in multi-week, challenging and engaging hands-on art activities.
Let's Look at Art
Let's Look at Art presentations occur during the school year and lead to exciting processes of discovery for students in Santa Clara County. Using Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) that support the Common Core State Standards, a trained docent leads a FREE 30–45 minute art presentation for your classroom in person or through video conferencing.
Art in the Dark
Art in the Dark uses inquiry-based digital presentations developed to create connections between works of art and your curriculum. A trained docent leads a FREE 40–55 minute art presentation for your classroom in person or through video conferencing. Our presentations align with the Common Core Standards using Artful Thinking routines to engage your students. We offer single visit and multiple visit presentations that can be customize to your curriculum.
