Join us for {art}ificial, a new series of Art 101 workshops that explore the world of artificial intelligence (AI) generated art led by studio arts educator, Julian Zamora. To launch this series, Intro to AI Art will introduce attendees to this powerful new tool, how to create effective text prompts, and how to create compelling storyboards.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. For this Art 101 workshop, students will need a smartphone, laptop, or tablet device with a built-in camera. A limited number of tablets are available upon request for use inside the Museum. Please email education@sjmusart.org to reserve a tablet for the workshop.

Admission to the galleries, including special exhibitions, is included on the day of the Art 101 workshop.

About the Instructor

Julian Zamora (they/them) is a multimedia artist born and raised in San José, CA. They have worked in art and science education for over 8 years across the Bay Area. As a dedicated community artist, Julian’s goal is to create art experiences that impact the community and give them a safe space to express themselves. Focusing on existing media to create new and interesting ideas, Julian believes that art belongs to everyone.
