College Night at the San Jose Museum of Art November 10

SAN JOSE, California (November 1, 2011)—The San Jose Museum of Art invites all area college and university students, faculty, and staff to College Night on Thursday, November 10, from 7 to 10 PM.  Activities will include music from DJ Coco, live steeldrum music from Stanford University’s Cardinal Calypso, docent tours, and a demonstration of 3-D plastic printing technology courtesy of TechShop San Jose.  All galleries will be open, including the exhibition This Kind of Bird Flies Backward: Paintings by Joan Brown, the photography exhibition Bill Owens: Ordinary Folks, the new mixed media installation Beta Space: Anna Sew Hoy, and permanent collection exhibitions So, Who Do You Think You Are? and Book-ish.  Café Too will offer food, cocktails, and soft drinks for purchase. Admission is free for all college and university students, faculty, and staff with ID.

The San Jose Museum of Art is located at 110 South Market Street in downtown San Jose, California.
