Rina Banerjee’s “Make Me a Summary of the World” is such a wild experience. She makes art about climate change, gender identity, colonialism, and everything in between. That first piece has hundreds of Cowrie shells woven into the petals. And somewhere in there she’s incorporated porcupine needles, peacock hairs and fake eyelashes. I don’t have any pictures of her 2D art, but they are just as colorful and beautiful as her sculptures. My notes on the left hand page are not about this exhibit, but about the Jay DeFeo gallery which was also amazing! . . . . #sanjose #sanjosemuseumofart #museum #museumofart #art #artmuseum A post shared by anna (@annacanart) on Jun 11, 2019 at 3:55pm PDT View this post on Instagram #sanjosemuseumofart #sanjose #artmuseum #contemporaryart #paewhite #rinabanerjee #digitalart A post shared by Youyang Hou (@cobblest) on Oct 6, 2019 at 8:36pm PDT View this post on Instagram #sanjosemuseumofart ♥️?
