To celebrate the launch of the Seeing through Stone exhibition catalog, experience abolitionist world-building in action by people directly impacted by incarceration with two exhibiting artists. Join us for a talk with Caleb Duarte and artists from Santa Cruz Barrios Unidos, followed by a special performance organized by Gabriela Golder.

A Long Line of Strong Women (Weaving through Time) is a performance proposal conceived by Gabriela Golder in collaboration with women living in the region who have been impacted by the global carceral system. Built through a series of shared conversations, meetings, and personal archives over the course of a month, the performance weaves together moments of confinement, resistance, and solidarity.

6pm: Talk with Caleb Duarte, Nane Alejandrez, director and founder of Santa Cruz Barrios Unidos, Sonny Trujillo, and Frank Alejandrez.

7pm: A Long Line of Strong Women (Weaving through Time) performed by Diana Alejandrez, Lisa Alejandrez, Nancy Alejandrez, Ksenia Fir, Gabriela Golder, and Marissa Guzman

A limited number of exhibition catalogs will be available for purchase at the Museum Store. Be the first to get your hands on this special publication!
