First Friday: Opening Celebration of Tending and Dreaming

Opening Celebration

You're invited to the opening celebration of Tending and Dreaming: Stories from the Collection, the first dedicated collection galleries at the Museum. 

The opening celebration will feature live music by Citizens Jazz, led by Caroline Chung.

Featuring Citizens Jazz

Citizens Jazz is an innovative jazz collective led by Caroline Chung, who is an Oakland-based professional upright and electric bassist.

In 2021, Citizens Jazz released a full-length album of original music titled Sounds Of Haejin and a tribute to the great Nina Simone in the form of several singles and music videos. They have made appearances at the San Jose Jazz Festival and SF Jazz. A new album is in the works and is due out soon.
