11 AM–4:30 PM
Hands-on art making: Calaveras Azucar (sugar skull) decorating and Flores de Papel (paper flowers). Activities in the Wendel Center and on the Skybridge.
11 AM–5 PM
Ofrenda artist Lissa Jones: Ofrenda display in Cafe (Display up, Fri 10/27 – Sun, 10/29).
11 AM–5 PM
Two large paper mache Catrina sculptures in lobby for photo-op.
11:15 AM–12 PM
Aztec dancers, Calpulli Tonalehqueh, opening ceremony, dance performance, and photo opportunity with visitors.
12–1:30 PM and 2–3:30 PM
Four Calacas (skeleton performers) will roam throughout the Museum engage and have their pictures taken with visitors.
1–3:30 PM
Phyllis Carrasco will provide demonstration on how to build an ofrenda (Skybridge).
2:30–3:15 PM
Cashion Cultural Legacy (Los Lupeños) will perform a 25-minute Mexican folk dance (Ballet Folklórico) followed by a 20-minute participatory and instructional demonstration for Museum visitors (lobby).
