Celebrate El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at this festive family event with live performances, cultural demonstrations, and artmaking experiences for all ages. Join Mariachi Azteca for a traditional musical performance and Los Lupeños Juvenil for a participatory folklórico dance. Marja van der Loo, curatorial associate, will give a Spanish-language tour of the exhibition Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial. Decorate calaveras de azúcar (sugar skulls), design your own felt calaca, and create a nicho, or mini altar, for loved ones.
