Monday, March 15, 2010
7:30 – 9 pm

Leo Villareal is considered one of the most important light sculptors of his generation. In this talk, Villareal questions the race toward higher resolution, asking: Is more better? What strategies can be used to repurpose media technologies?  What happens when you add computation to minimalism and abstraction?

Presented by: The Art, Technology, and Culture Colloquium of the Berkeley Center for New Media and the San Jose Museum of Art.

Location: 160 Kroeber Hall at UC Berkeley
