Biography

Zegada was born in Hungary and received her B.A. in art history and photography from the Sorbonne University, Paris, and later her M.F.A. in photography from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris.  She has exhibited her work in France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, and the United States. Her photographic assignments have appeared in the pages of The New York Times, GQ, Condé Nast Traveler, Le Monde, and Time Magazine.  Zegada currently lives and works in San Francisco and Europe.

These would be the first works by Zegada to enter SJMA’s permanent collection. (SJMA Collections Committee, 2009)
