Biography

Douglas Badcock was born in Balclutha in 1922. He painted in oils and usually painted landscapes, frequently of the Central Otago/Queenstown region, where he lived. He won the Kelliher Art Competition in 1965, and frequently had sell out exhibitions. In recent years he also painted smaller watercolours. His three sons are also artists. He died in 2009.
