Postcards from Here is SJMA’s new, free STEAM-based program created for the virtual, hybrid, or in-person teacher in mind.
Sowing Creativity is an integrated visual art residency program developed by the San José Museum of Art to align with the California Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards and to meet the urgent need to promote creativity across disciplines.
Multi-Part Art extends SJMA’s visual arts education resources directly into Santa Clara County schools via four-, six-, or eight-week live online residencies. Conducted by professional Studio Arts Educators, this program delivers a series of stimulating art-making experiences in the virtual school classroom, where professional artists lead students in challenging and engaging hands-on art activities for 60–90 minutes.
Let's Look at Art presentations occur during the school year and lead to exciting processes of discovery for students in Santa Clara County. Using Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) that support the Common Core State Standards, a trained docent leads a FREE 30-minute art presentation for your classroom, delivered through video conferencing.
These inquiry-based virtual digital presentations:
- are streamlined to adapt to shorter online class times
- support Common Core Standards
- enrich your subject with art
- engage students in critical thinking
- are led by Museum docents
- are free
- are customizable
