Narrative is the common theme that unites the exhibitions New Stories from the Edge of Asia: This/That, Rising Dragon, and Dive Deep. Whether through a photograph, a carefully constructed painting, or an animated work, these artists tell stories. This spring we bring “Previously Secret Information”— voted “Best New Storytelling Series” by SF Weekly—to San Jose. Joe Klocek (a favorite with SJMA’s audience at last spring’s Comedy Night) produces this modern storytelling show for grownups. PSI is a showcase for the newest breed of comedic storytellers in the Bay Area. Honest, thoughtful, and cathartically funny, these storytellers tackle universal themes with a personal approach.
