Kids shouldn’t be the only ones to get to go to summer camp. Join Lynn Jeffries, lead puppeteer in Sandow Birk’s feature film Dante’s Inferno (2007), for a two-day workshop on toy-theater puppetry. Jeffries is a seasoned puppeteer, set designer, and storyteller who has worked on puppet productions of all kinds, from William Shakespeare to Bertold Brecht. Participants will translate well-known tales into new narratives using everyday materials and DIY know-how. Hailed as “brightly inventive” and “infectiously irreverent,” Jeffries will help adult “campers” create an amazing show as the finale of the workshop on Sunday afternoon.
Registration is $125 ($100 for members). Limit 25 participants, ages 12 and up.
