12–1 PMFree with Museum admission

How do the eye and retina see the world, and how does the brain interpret this data? Mark Butterworth, optical scientist at Philips Lumileds, will lead a fun and informative overview of the human visual system. Learn how color science evolved from the work of Sir Isaac Newton in the 1600s to that behind today’s digital cameras and displays.

Lunchtime Lectures take place on the first Wednesday of the month at noon in the Charlotte Wendel Education Center. Visitors are welcome to bring food and beverages.
