San Jose and Santa Clara County are poised to take on the heaviest population growth of any region in the Bay Area by the year 2040. Leah Toeniskoetter, San Jose director of SPUR, will highlight the major growth patterns of the past, present, and future of the region known as the Valley of the Heart’s Delight as the tide has shifted from suburban to urban, from sprawl to connections. SPUR is a nonprofit organization that promotes good urban planning in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lunchtime Lectures take place on the first Wednesday of the month at noon in the Charlotte Wendel Education Center. Visitors are welcome to bring food and beverages.
