Eye on India is an annual literary and cultural festival that presents the best of traditional and contemporary Indian art, literary, and cultural forms to audiences in the United States. The afternoon will feature presentations by Sandhya Bordewekar Gajjar and Vamsee Jhuluri.

Sandhya Bordewekar Gajjar Gajjar is contributing correspondent from Baroda for art magazines such as Art India, for Art & Deal, The Indian Contemporary Art Journal, Nigaah, and Art etc. She has also written for The Times of India, The Indian Express, The Sunday Observer and the Economic Times. She will speak about the development of Baroda Art School as an important center for contemporary Indian art.

Vamsee Jhuluri is professor of media studies at the University of San Francisco. He is the author of Becoming a Global Audience: Longing and Belonging in Indian Music Television (Peter Lang, 2003), The Mythologist: A Novel (Penguin India, 2010), Bollywood Nation: India through its Cinema (Penguin India, 2013) and The Guru Within (Westland, forthcoming). He blogs at the Huffington Post and is a regular contributor for the Indian Express.
