Trimpin is a sound sculptor, composer, and inventor whose remarkable creations include If VI Was XI (2000), a 50-foot tower of more than 500 guitars, and Klompen (1987), made of 96 Dutch wooden shoes. Trimpin, who was honored with the “genius grant” from the MacArthur Foundation in 1997, will stage a full opera at Stanford Lively Arts on May 14, 2011.

This program is a special opportunity to join Trimpin for a two-hour workshop (either the morning or afternoon session) and to create a symphony using found objects.

One ticket reserves space for two adults or one adult and one child, ages eight and up. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited to 15 pairs per session.
