Third Thursday Goes to the Dogs

Admission is $5 after 5 PM (free to members)

Do William Wegman’s photographs of Weimaraners make you yearn for a canine companion of your own? Join SJMA and the Humane Society Silicon Valley for a special “adopt a dog” event. Current dog owners, bring your best friend by to an outdoor photo booth and meetup. Volunteer pet sitters will be available so that humans may visit the galleries. Lauren Gallagher, CPA and controller, will speak about the canine-human connection.

All dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier.

William Wegman is best known for his heartwarming and amusing photographs of his dogs. Artists Including Me: William Wegman introduces another very personal side of this widely loved artist. With his signature quick wit, Wegman reflects on his life as an artist and on his artistic heroes. Here, he reimagines arthistorical masterpieces and art-world scenarios. Wegman’s alternative versions are part homage, part visual pun, and part parody.
