Lunchtime Lecture: Fooling the Art World: Originals, Copies, and Fakes

12–1 PM
Free with Museum admission

Is that work of art an original? A copy? Or is it a forgery? What is the difference—and why does it matter? Stephanie Brown, adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco and at Johns Hopkins University, Washington, DC, will examine some of the artists, copiers, and forgers who have fooled—or not fooled—the art world.

Lunchtime Lectures take place on the first Wednesday of the month at noon in the Charlotte Wendel Education Center. Visitors are welcome to bring food and beverages.
