Visual Politics: The Art of Engagement
(2005-2006)

Although best known for his humorous ceramic sculptures, Robert Arneson also had a deeply sociopolitical conscience that informed his moral outcry against nuclear weapons during the height of the Cold War. Nuclear Stock Pile is a dark and serious drawing that memorializes the anonmous victims of nuclear holocaust, whose mutilated bodies are densely stacked in a manner that recalls a mass grave.
