Biography

In her prints, Eleanor Rappe draws inspiration from the classical civilizations of the Mediterranean.  Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she currently maintains a studio in Sausalito, California.  She earned a B.A. from Brooklyn College, an M.A. from Indiana University, and took additional graduate courses at San Francisco State University.  She is a recipient of a California Arts Council grant and is a member of the California Society of Printmakers.  Her work is in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, SFMOMA, and the San Francisco Arts Commission.
