Biography

Born in Seoul, Korea. Younhee Paik, who currently resides in New York, received her B.F.A. from Seoul National University and her M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied with Julius Hatofsky, Bruce McGaw and Alvin Light. Paik subsequently taught. She has had over 30 gallery and museum solo exhibtiions in New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Seoul, including the National Museum of Contemporary Art in 1988 and, most recently, at the Triton Musuem of Art in Santa Clara. The San Jose Museum of Art gave her a one-person show in 1986. Her art is in the collections of the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Ho Am Museum in Seoul; and the Triton Museum in Santa Clara.
