Biography

Alice Cronin earned her bachelor’s degree in art at the University of California, Berkeley in 1955. Also at Berkeley, she pursued a master’s degree, studying with Karl Kasten, Erle Loran, David Park, Cameron Booth, and Conrad Marca-Relli. She has had solo exhibitions throughout the East Bay at Holy Names College, and Wrubel Gallery, among others. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, and frequently exhibits with the California Society of Printmakers. These four works on paper would be the first works by the artist to enter the Museum’s collection. (SJMA Collections Committee, 2006)
