Multi-part Art in the Classroom
Now Available Online!
The Multi-Part Art program extends SJMA’s visual arts education resources directly into Santa Clara County schools via four-, six-, or eight-week live online residencies. Conducted by professional Studio Arts Educators, this program delivers a series of stimulating art-making experiences in the virtual school classroom, where professional artists lead students in challenging and engaging hands-on art activities for 60–90 minutes. With a focus on Museum exhibitions, this progressive program is designed to give students an in-depth, hands- and brains-on art experience. Studio art classes emphasize artistic exploration and creative problem-solving in a variety of media such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. Students participate in active discussions about original works of art. Students learn art skills and create their own work inspired by the art and artists they have encountered.
Grades K–12 program structure: four-, six-, or eight-week residency: each class experiences one 60–90 minute session per week; all art materials are included in the fee. The program connects to California State Visual Art Content Standards and other core curriculum subjects, depending on the subject matter or theme of Museum exhibitions. Additionally, a live, virtual tour of the Museum is included!
Multi-Part Art Program Includes: live virtual Museum visit, studio art lessons, and art supplies needed.
Program Fee/Classroom: $480 4-week, $720 6-week, and $960 8-week.
