Two-Part Art is a live, virtual trip to the Museum and studio art lesson for your classroom! To meet the needs of social distancing, the SJMA Education Department has reconfigured our Museum Tour from in-person to virtual format! When you sign up for a Two-Part Art program for your classroom, our gallery teachers will coordinate with you prior to your ‘visit’ to discuss art supplies needed, as we will provide basic art materials for your students via drop-off at your school. At the time of your ‘visit’, two gallery teachers per classroom will guide students through a virtual walkthrough of our Museum and current exhibition(s), engaging students in inquiry-based observation. After our tour, gallery teachers will teach a standards-based art lesson inspired by our current exhibition(s.)
Two-Part Art Program Includes: live virtual tour, studio art lesson, and art supplies needed.
Program fee: $250 per class of 10–30 students, $500 31–60 students. The cost for groups with fewer than 10 students is $120.
