Third Thursday: Family Date Night at the San Jose Museum of Art

SAN JOSE, California (July 23, 2013)— The San Jose Museum of Art will host its monthly Third Thursday with a “Family Date Night” on Thursday, August 15, from 5 PM to 8 PM.  The whole family is invited to enjoy a night out at the museum. Parents have the option of dropping off children (ages 5 and up) at the Wendel Education Center for hands-on artmaking, creative games, and movies. Adults may then enjoy their own evening of cocktails, socializing, and artwork viewing in the galleries. All galleries will be open, featuring the following exhibitions:  Annie Leibovitz: Pilgrimage, Questions from the Sky: New Work by Hung Liu, Timelapse: Doug Hall and the Western Landscape, Breaking Ground: Gifts from Katie and Drew Gibson, Swans, Swine, and Sirens, and New Stories from the Edge of Asia: This/That. Café Too will offer cocktails and soft drinks for purchase. Admission to Third Thursdays is $5 after 5 PM (free to members and children under 6). Tickets are available online at sanjosemuseumofart.org/ticket-sales. 

Parents or guardians must remain in the Museum while their children are in the Wendel Center and must provide a mobile phone number for on-site contact.
