Staging Carnage
Like the artists whose work is featured in the exhibition Renegade Humor, playwright Yasmine Reza uses biting humor to look into the dark heart of human behavior. Rick Lombardo, artistic director of San Jose Repertory Theatre, will talk about directing Reza’s play God of Carnage (March 22 – April 15, 2012, at SJ Rep). He will discuss his experience working with actors to stage the play in a way that balances humor with genuine horror.

WED, MAY 2, 2012
San Jose’s Chicano Heritage
Dr. Gregorio Mora-Torres, lecturer in Mexican-American studies at San Jose State University, will discuss the city’s rich cultural history.

Please note: our Lunchtime Lectures will go on summer hiatus for June, July, and August. The series will resume September 5.
